Accessibility

Subject Finder has been built to well recognised standards and incorporates many ease of use features in order to make the website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. However, it is not possible to guarantee that third party material will meet accessibility criteria.

The options below will allow you to select how you prefer to view Subject Finder.

Choose your preferred colour scheme

• Default Style
• Dyslexic Friendly Style
• High Contrast Style

Choose your preferred text size

Text is resizable. The site is designed using cascading style sheets that use relative font sizes which is automatically resizes the text. The special browsers' text resizing feature can be used to resize the text automatically. The options below will allow you to adjust your browser to display your preferred text size.

If you use Internet Explorer:

1. click on View menu and then Text Size
2. click on your preferred text size (e.g. Smallest, Smaller, Medium, Larger, Largest)

If you use Netscape:

1. click on View menu and then Text Zoom
2. click on your preferred text size (e.g. 50%, 75%, 90%, 100%, 120%, 150%)

If you use Mozilla Firefox:

1. click on View menu and then Text Size
2. click on your preferred text size (e.g. Normal, Increase, Decrease)

If you use Opera:

1. click on View menu and then Zoom
2. click on your preferred text size (e.g. 80%, 100%, 120%, 150%)

If you use Safari:

1. click on View menu and then Make Text
2. click on your preferred text size (e.g. Normal, Smaller, Bigger)

Access keys

Access keys have been implemented to access and navigate Subject Finder using a keyboard. This is an alternative form of navigation to using a mouse, or other pointing device.

How to use the access keys if you use Internet Explorer

1. press and hold the Alt key
2. press the required letter or number or symbol
3. release the keys and press the Enter key

How to use the access keys if you use Netscape

1. press and hold the Alt key
2. press the required letter or number or symbol

How to use the access keys if you use a Apple Mac

1. press and hold the Ctrl key
2. press the required letter or number or symbol
